Rooted to Last (R2L) is an initiative aiming to uplift and accelerate solutions toward a more enduring model of valuing and investing in communities of color in Minnesota (Mni Sota Makoce*).

We have the opportunity to work together to ensure Minnesota’s future outcomes reflect collective joy and prosperity where race will no longer be a determinant of outcome. We believe Minnesotans are ready and the time is now to make our hopes and dreams of building thriving communities of color a reality.

* The state takes our name from a Dakota phrase, Mni Sota Makoce, which translates to “land where the waters reflect the clouds.”
